Vessel Mooring Load Monitoring (MLM)
'MoorAlert'™ mooring line load monitoring system have been supplied for port and harbour installations world-wide.
The loads in mooring wires can be measured by modifying the Quick Release Hooks. The hook pivot pin is replaced by a Load Pin with embedded strain gauges, which gives an electrical output proportional to hook load.
This Load Pin can be supplied in hazardous area certified form for use on oil/gas jetties, and the hook load output signals are gathered in a Master Unit for processing, display and logging.
