SHRIKE is a fully approved hard wire exploder which is currently in service with more than 44 countries worldwide. From the arctic to the tropics it has proven itself as a safe, reliable and cost effective system for the initiation of explosives, mines, pyrotechnics and other electro-explosive devices (EED). Two versions of SHRIKE are available - SHRIKE MKV is for use with standard NATO detonators and SHRIKE MKIV for the latest VA safety detonators which require a higher energy firing output. The energy output is up to 48J. There are also system accessories available, including Shock Tube Adaptors, Battery Chargers and Test Meters.

The SHRIKE Mk IV Exploder is the chosen exploder when operating with Insensitive Group II Detonators

  • PRIME typically 2 seconds
  • Arms capacitor to 400V
  • Output inhibited for resistances above 400 Ohms
  • 4 independent output circuits
  • Suitable for Group 1 detonators.
  • Output inhibited for Voltages less than 319 Volts.
  • Proven operation in all climatic environments.
