Designed and manufactured to full military specifications, the Type 2073 Emergency Underwater Telephone (EUWT) provides a facility for communicating with an underwater vessel. A low frequency pinger facilitates the location of the distressed vessel from ranges up to 8000 yards (7200M). Secure voice communications are provided over long, medium and short ranges. The 2073 is suitable for application in small submersible craft, submarines and large surface craft.
A portable version of the 2073 (PEUWT) is also available for deployment on board rescue craft and helicopters to facilitate the search and rescue of sub-surface vessels in distress.
